AQUAGUARD 2240

AQUAGUARD 2240 is a non-oxidizing liquid antimicrobial formulation with broad-spectrum biocidal activity, designed

for use in open cooling tower systems, swimming pools, and ornamental ponds. It prevents biofilm growth on heat

exchangers and evaporative surfaces while controlling planktonic microorganisms in the bulk fluid, offering low

mammalian toxicity, effective biofilm inhibition, and efficiency at low dose rates.

AQUAGUARD 2240 is used to maintain non-bio fouled systems in that condition and also to control planktonic activity.

AQUAGUARD 2240 is shot dosed manually or automatically at 250 ml/m3 of system capacity for routine microbiological

control. Frequency of dosing will normally be weekly but will depend upon the operating characteristics of the particular

plant, such as its tendency to bio foul and its retention time and will be determined by Consult your BCI sales Engineer.
